Firefox 57 for Better Surfing Experience But Is It Safe for Your Operating System?
Mozilla Firefox support has come up with a newer version of
its browser with comparably better performance. Talking about browsers, there
are a number of browsers that run on mobile devices as well as desktop and all
have different loading and responding speeds. You might have been using the
same or other browsers ever since you started internet surfing, or probably you
switch among them time to time. Mozilla Firefox is one of the browsers which
have been faced criticism for its slower performance. Because Firefox takes
longer for loading scripts from tracking domains, Mozilla engineers have made
significant changes to create a new browser.
Back in a month, Mozilla developers created a new plugin that
pops up on the window which is the new Firefox Quantum browser. However, the
plugin was disabled by default, but users were still notified to install the
plugin if they haven't. The browser developers recreated their browser
intending to beat up against the lost success. To boost the speed of old
Mozilla versions is common for developers while On the other hand, no such
changes are required for the upgraded one.
On a positive note, the new launch of Firefox Quantum has
already been installed by more than 180 million users across the globe. The top
executive of Firefox, Nick Nguyen mentioned in a post on their company's
primary blog: "We're just getting started and early returns are super
encouraging." Despite, the executive couldn't explain the success of the
browser in such a short span of time as this was a non-linear success. But it can
be assumed that, as other brand new applications/ software (which need to begin
from a very initial stage and zero installation), Firefox Quantum is already a
well-known surfing platform. Mozilla has labeled the browser as
"Quantum," but it is also called Firefox 57.
Statistics of Quantum
Success
According to online sources, the analytics shows up 11.3% of
all browser users ran Firefox during the whole month of November. Examining
that user data worldwide, it was calculated to be 194 million Windows devices
worked on Firefox, out of a global PC net of 1.5 billion. Firefox browser may
be installed on operating systems like macOS and Linux as well, but the 90%
were running on Windows OS and 194 million can be a minimum estimate.
Nguyen also declared that Firefox Quantum/57 was the biggest
release to date by the company and it had made nearly 100 million profiles.
How Firefox 57 works?
Firefox 57 has a secret method to deliver quicker page loads.
It prevents scripts from tracking domains, such as www.google-analytics.com, so
it takes less time to load and is basically called tailing (termed by a Mozilla
Engineer).
Although the feature depends on data from Firefox's privacy
feature tracking protection, the change wasn't designed as a privacy
improvement. Tailing prevents the tracking scripts to load on a temporary basis
than completely disabling them. The performance of Page loading has been
increased by saving on network bandwidth and computing supports while loading a
page
